I first discovered hooping at Burning Man, a festival of radical self-expression.  I built myself a hoop and tried it in my backyard, amazed at how easy it was with a larger hoop! Not only easy, it was wonderfully addictive, bringing feelings of bliss, joy, and release! After a year of hooping in my backyard, I honed my hoop-making skills and began teaching friends and family to hoop.

I moved my teaching practice to the gym where I had been teaching yoga for several years, and then began teaching for the YWCA, among others. Currently, I'm holding classes in a studio space as well as teaching at Minneapolic Community Technical College, and also through the Community Education program in Uptown, Minneapolis.

I have now been teaching hooping for over two years in Minneapolis, and I feel blessed to be able to share my love and passion for hooping with others. It's a gift to spread the centering, peacefulness, and fantastic energy that hooping brings.  I learn from my students as they learn from me, and together we all reap the benefits of healthy, healing, uplifting hooping.

Hooping in this form has been popular on the West Coast for a handful of years, and we continue to grow a great hooping community in our area!  It is my joy to share this gift and be a part of this beautiful community.
